CONFIDENCE

I am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, through the Applied Association for Sport Psychology (AASP), and CEO and Founder of TG Performance (formally Theresa Marie Consulting). I work as a mental performance coach, inspiring and empowering individuals to unlock their true potential and become limitless in their performance by mastering their mindsets.

I grew up playing sports, always trying to keep up with two older brothers. I always took the chance to play with them, even if that meant my brothers putting me in goalie pads, giving me a stick, and acting as a target for quarterback throws.

I always had a competitive edge, and my family and mentors taught me to always persevere in times of hardship, challenge and never give up.

Sports have always been an outlet for me to truly express myself, being free and learning that I can control my own outcome with the hard work and passion I put in. Being on the lacrosse field released an energy in me to lead with my head and heart, embrace adversity, challenge my limits, celebrate every little (and big) success, and most importantly, learn how to manage, adapt, and use failure to grow and get stronger. Playing lacrosse taught me that it takes courage to develop confidence, to take risks, to be a leader, and to be okay with stepping outside the box to flow with creativity.

It has led me to a career in sport and performance psychology, so I can work with individuals to discover their true potential, just like I did, both on the playing field and in professional settings.

My parents have always said to me “try your hardest to do your best” and I adopt that mentality every single day.

LET'S LEVEL UP

LET'S LEVEL UP

As a former 2X All American Lacrosse Player, in both midfield and defense, I understand the need for mental toughness and grit to reach the next level of performance. I work with clients who want to achieve their best, ranging from National Team Athletes, Division I, II & III collegiate programs, youth and club athletes and coaches, corporate management teams and business professionals. With the combination of my education and experience, energy and passion working with individuals and teams, I am able to connect and assist clients in their specific needs for optimal performance.

What I have learned

You don’t need confidence to pursue your goals. All you need is courage to take the first step. Courage builds confidence. Leading with empathy and compassion produce the foundation for strong and supportive long term relationships with yourself and others. Do good work and trust your process - the rest will take care of itself. It is hard building a business, letting one go and starting over to build another. I’ve failed. I’ve pivoted. I’ve started over, so embrace the hard times because it makes the successes that much better

MORE ABOUT ME

  • "Thank you for the time you took to strengthen our team and help us overcome the adversity we faced this season. Thank you for making our team more united as one. Some valuable takeaways from our season [that we learned] were the importance of communication, knowledge that we all have a job on the team, and knowing we each control our own mindset. We are grateful for how you pushed each of us to be the best version of ourselves on and off the court."

    - Villa Maria High School Basketball Team

  • “Each year we are able to see enormous growth in our team's mental strength and resiliency on and off the field. The team has taken the tools and resources provided and made them a part of our program and culture and it has reflected in our performance. We couldn’t be happier with the progress!”

    - Division I Women’s Lacrosse Team

  • "Theresa’s contribution to our Varsity basketball program as a member of our coaching staff has been a great experience. For the last 3 years she has helped separate our program from others by helping create a culture of growth, mental toughness and grit. Her practice with the guys has shown both on and off the court, and her lessons translate to all facets of life"

    - Taylor Trevisan, Salesianum Basketball, Assistant Athletic Director

  • "The biggest things that have helped me have been focusing on why I do things and what motivates me to do them, as well as practice mindfulness throughout those activities by imagery beforehand and throughout my everyday life. An exercise that helped me the most with mindfulness was writing down my values, and picking three each day to gear my actions towards. Before I was introduced to this [Mindfulness] technique, I was unable to take a step back and focus on what my brain and body were trying to tell me. Now, I am able to do so easily, through meditation, imagery or muscle tension checks, before a race and tune into my thoughts to achieve my best. "
